What is your occupation?

Nearly 37 years ago, I walked into a law office in Golden inquiring if they needed a secretary.  The firm was looking for a secretary for the senior partner (who himself did not agree w/his partners that he needed a secretary).  It took some convincing, but Leo Bradley hired me as his first (and only) secretary and that started me on a career that continues to this day.  Mr. Bradley was involved in many projects in addition to being the general counsel for the Adolph Coors Company.  Thus, I’ve been a law office administrator, commercial property manager, and corporate secretary and member of various Boards including Clear Creek National Bank.  Mr. Bradley passed away in 2003, and I continue to help manage his family’s commercial property in and around the Morrison-Evergreen area.

Tell us a little about your family.

My husband, Keith and I have two grown children.  Brittany and her husband live in Williamsburg, VA and our son Brandon is in the Air Force training to become a pararescue jumper.  We live in Golden and have a small acreage north town where Keith enjoys his love of horses with two of his own and boarding a few others.

What are your hobbies?

I love to travel, camp, and hike, and when time permits make stained glass panels.

What is your most unique experience?

One unique experience that comes to mind was in 1996 when the Avalanche won the Stanley Cup.  Mr. Bradley who was President of Bear Creek Golf Club, asked me to take a photographer into the men’s locker room to photograph the Cup which had been brought to the Club by several of the Avs players.  Word went out that not only was the Cup in the locker room, but so was Mr. Bradley’s secretary!

Why are you conservative?

I’ve been a Conservative since before I could vote when in high school I was a big fan of Barry Goldwater, due in large part to my Dad’s influence, who had read “Conscience of a Conservative”.  I believe in the industrious goodness of the American people and our Founding Fathers who put their faith in a Creator and wrote into our Constitution that our rights come from God, not government.  I am in awe of the talents of everyday, regular folks—we see it among our MRWC members and beyond.  Washington are you listening??—Get out of our way and let the American people save our Republic!
